Goodbye, sunscreens. Save the corals!
I spent a lot of time in the ocean in Hawaii. Wearing sunscreens and frequently reapplying sunscreens for my ocean time and **** the corals In the process of protecting my skin is just morally wrong. I used to wear a 0.5 mm. skin suit to avoid using sunscreens but I hate the positive buoyancy that comes with it. I’m so thankful for Slipins dive skin. It is so light- weighted and easy to put on. It takes up as much space as bikinis, feels like my second skin, dries quite quickly, and protects me from the sun and stingers. The big bonus is that it is neutrally buoyant. Free diving feels like I’m a fish in this suit. Taking it off? Well, it is nothing comparing to taking off a wetsuit. The easiest way for me is to peel it off. Don’t try to remove them while keeping the right side out. BTW, the print looks amazing in the water. Last July, I had a male snorkeler screaming 10 feet above me. He got so excited for a moment thinking he spotted a real sea creature (no, me in the suit). If you are familiar with the Australian stinger suits, you will really appreciate Slipins. Slipins are stylishly printed. I’m on to my second purchase of two more dive skins. Can’t go into the ocean without it. Thank you!!!
Great Customer Service
I just used my first SlipIns Dive Skin. It is great in the water for snorkeling in the pool. I cannot wait to test it out on our first ocean trip. I do not expect it to keep me warm while snorkeling, yet will be happy not to be burnt by the sun. Experienced wonderful Customer Service, as I emailed to check which size would fit me since I am quite short in stature. Very prompt response and very helpful, though I doubted the size would fit it was great for the length and yes fit snug just as they mentioned it would, it is like a second skin. I loved getting the headband when I opened the package, even though I have made headbands for years, it was nice to have the surprise of the matching headband included. Thank you The only thing I will have to attempt to adjust to is when trying to take it off after it is wet and you get out of the water. I had to literally peel it off my arms by getting air into the skin. This took me about 10 minutes by myself.
Best Snorkeling protection
LOVE this surfskin. I love snorkeling and have very fair skin so even with long sleeve/ shorts/ sunscreen ..I still almost burn when i get lost in underwater wonders when snorkeling. These are so comfortable and did wear them all through the day, even for lunch..Recommend to everyone that loves the waters and want to be protected from the sun, jelly fish etc Print looks amazing in the water.
Blue Water Shells
When I saw the video on the website of this print on a diver underwater, I was SOLD. So exquisite.
Perfect for diving
What's better than blending in while diving in deep blue waters? Looking absolutely stunning while doing it. Not only is this one super fun to get in and out of but you feel sleek when close to Marine mammals. comfortable and soft and gorgeous
I didn't get stung by jellies!
I purchased this skin for a graduate school field expedition to Baja, Mexico . I knew I was going to spend a lot of time in the water and I wanted to make sure my skin was safe from too much sun exposure. Since I was diving in coral reefs (and not all sunscreens are reef safe), this skin was an excellent alternative to sunscreen. I wore my skin on all of my snorkels except for one. My classmates complained about getting stung from tiny jellies that we couldn't see, but were everywhere. I only noticed them snorkeling once when, I chose not to wear the skin, and I got stung a ton, and then I made sure not to forget the skin on the boat again . I also had the opportunity to lead a snorkel group, and they had no problem finding me underwater as I pointed out cool animals to the group.
